Wrestlers continue in CIF Competition

Eight Blackhawk Wrestlers have qualified for both Boys’ CIF-SS Masters and Girls’ CIF-SS Championship Finals Competition being held on Friday February 15th & 16th. Boys’ Qualifiers are: 106 – Dominick Jahnig 120 – Michael Jahnig 145 – Benjamin Velasco 182 – Aidan Miller 195 – Che Luna (Alternate) Girls’ Qualifiers are: 137 – Kaiya Kirby

Girls’ Water Polo to CIF Championship!!

The Blackhawk’s Girls’ Water Polo team will be playing in the CIF-SS Division 4 Championship game vs Dana Hills this Saturday, February 16th at the Woollett Aquatics Center in Irvine at 4:10 pm. Directions from LQHS:

National Signing Day at LQHS!!

Three of our Blackhawk athletes will be soaring on to college, signing Letters of Intent on February 14th. Beatriz Ojeda will be continuing her Softball career at University of Bridgeport. Kiara Mendoza will also be playing Softball at Arizona Western College. Savannah Hampton signed with Arizona State University for Water Polo. LQHS is so proud

Blackhawks Attend the CBAADA “Women In Sports Conference”

Seven Blackhawk young ladies attended the Citrus Belt Area Athletic Directors Association’s “Women in Sports Conference” on February 5th. These young ladies represented La Quinta High School’s Girls’ Basketball, Girls’ Cross Country, Softball, Girls’ Track & Field and Girls’ Wrestling Teams. La Quinta HS representing at the CBAADA Women in Sports Conference. #LQPride @lqathletics @lqprincipal

Playoff Bound Blackhawks!!!!!

Several La Quinta teams are kicking off the Winter Play-off season this week. 2/05/19 – Girls’ Water Polo will be opening their first round match against Vista Murrieta at home at 5:00 pm. 2/06/19 – Girls’ Soccer will be on the road for the first round, playing at Bloomington High School at 5:00 pm.
